  • Why are most of the varieties out of stock ?
    Each variety has a different storage life and as we harvest the garlic they are handled individually and stored to make them happy - some do not store well so they are considered culinary for immediate table use and they sell out quickly after harvest. The seed garlic are ready for planting in september and october so they are stored until their sale. The remainder are stored and maintained to extend their use and consumption till they begin to bud out and even then can be consumed. The garlic that you see in the stores in late spring are usually the S&H Silver and maybe some Italian Lorz which have some of the longest storage life - But the truely favorful are the first harvest and delicate for extended storage.
